Harry Mun ro, escaped convict, professional hold up man and bank robber, spent last night In a cell In the state peniten tiary, where he was landed yesterday uy uuard Carson, who went to New Mexico to receive him from the offic ers who arrested him a few weeks ago. Munro held for extradition, and a requisition was. asked for by War den Catron, granted by the governor of Washington and honored by the governor of New Mexico. Munro robbed a Seattle Jewelry store of $6000 worth of goods in day- ngnt. He was arrested, tried, con victed and sentenced to the peniten tiary, whither he was brought. Four years ago he and a friend succeeded In cutting the light wires at the pris on and by the use of the dead wires scaled the walls and escaped. Con vict Dennlson helped turn the trick. but held his liberty only a short time. He was promptly captured and re turned to the prison. Munro evaded all officers who were put on his trail, and for four years succeeded in rob-, bing banks and holding up men all; over the Rocky Mountain region. It is saia that he has helped in 10 bank robberies since his escape.
