Damon Lodge No. 4, Knights of Pythias, Is preparing an extensive uro gram for tho third annual district con vention, which Is to ho hold In I'en dleton January 10. both afternoon and evening. This district com prises Umatilla county which has tlvo lodges Damon Lodge, No. 4, Pendle ton; Pythian Lodge No. 29. Athena; Stevens Lodge No. 49, Weston; Her cules Lodgo No. 51, Milton; Pleiades Lodge No.74, Helix and n team from each lodge, accompanied by a largo delegation, Is expected to be present. There will be no drill contest for prizes us were given last year, but the teams will dovoto the time at tho evening session In conferring the Knight Ilank on a class of between 20 and 30 members. Tho drill contests will bo held later In the season perhaps about the 19th of February. In La Grande, when Umatilla, Union and Baker counties will compete for a prize. Each lodge In these counties will be expected to send a team to this meeting to com pete for some very valuable prize. which will be given to the best drilled team.
