among the tamaracks, six miles from
the town.
A contract wns made with him by
which, in consideration of $10, a per
petual lease upon the house was se
cured provided, however, that no
dances, improper assemblages or
I riotous proceedings should ever mar
its seating capacity.
He is a fiddler and often the young
people try to arrange dancing parties
in the building, at which he might
preside as chief musician, but he re-
lieiously keeps his promise to ban
ish dancing from his own school
