to Kansas City.

University of Silverton, Or., is to be
removed to Kansas City after the first
of the year, and the, fall term will be
opened October 1 next. The board
of directors of the school, through
local real estate firm, today purchas
ed the Pepper block, one of the larg
est structures in the clfy, as a home
for the university, paying $85,000 cash
for tne property. The Liberal unlver
sity Is a liberal Institution founded
along liberal lines. It was establish
ed several years ago and has receiv
ed endowments from free thinkers In
