The Proposed Excursion to Walla Walla Sunday Given Up on Acount of Lack of Cars, There will be no excursion to Wnlla Walla for Pendleton's day at the fruit fair. This announcement was made public this morning after the local railroads employes had announced that a special would be run. The special was called off because of a shortage iu passenger cars. It Is said that the passenger traffic is so heavy that the road cannot supply the equipment needed to handle the regular routine of business in this line and when anything comes up which demands a special effort It Is simply impossible for the company to nnd equipment to handle it.
