MADE A GUN PLAY. Frank Ernhart Flourishes a Revol ver Before a Crowd of Young Men, Who Made a Hasty Retreat Frank Earnhart and Mart Shacker ford were the principles In a gun play enacted on Alta street, near Main, Friday evening. It seems that there had been bad blood between Shackerford and Earn hart for som.5 time and they met last evening with the intention of settl ing the affair. They decided to re pair from Main street to a more se cluded spot on Alta and when they were about a block from Main they stopped and began to talk the matter over, snacKierorci nad heard that Earnhart had been talking about him and asked him about It. Earnhart denied the charge and a friend of Shackleford stepped up and said he heard Earnhart do the talking. At this Earnhart drew his revolver and flourishing It In the faces of the crowd who had followed the two young men out to see the fight, in vited them to come on and Intimat ed that if they did he would make short work of them. Neither Shackleford nor his friends cared to have their bodies made a target for a revolver and they made their hasty retreat to safer quarters, This ended the affair for the time be ing. Earnhart was later arrested and will have his trial this afternoon, Later, Earnhart was arrested this morn ing and taken before Judge KHz Ger ald this afternoon. He had former ly announced that he would plead not guilty, but when he came to trial he announced through his attorney, John McCourt, that he would plead guilty. The circumstances which led up to the gun play was given the court and he imposed a fine of $17 on Karnnart for carrying concealed weapons. Ladies' Fashion Suits.
