With three posses hot on his trail and a fou-th under Sheriff Doust leaving Spo kane this afternoon, Convict Harry Tracy is still at large and cannot be definitely located, but it is believed he is in hiding in the Rough Lake Creek country, between Odessa and Wilbur. A man supposed to be .him was seen last night leading ono horse and riding another, carrying two rifles between Wilbur and Harrington. , Lays Low in Daytime. Tracv has adopted th'e method of traveling only at night and lying In hiding during the day, that is caus ing the officers no little trouble. The last report which is taiten as authentic, is that Tracy was seen two miles north of Odessa about 9:30 last night by Mrs. Craben, a farmer's wife. Supposed to Be Off Trail. The man was riding one horse and leading another and carrying two ri fles. As ho had been seen between Wilbur and Harrington, inquiring the way ' to Harrington, it is supposed be got on the wrong road and struck Odessa, considerably west of Har rington. The direction ho was traveling was north, indicating that he had turned on his tracks and was making for the unsettled country around Lake Creek, undoubtedly for the pur pose of hiding during the day. To Waylay Him. Last night an attempt was mado to waylay the outlaw. Posses got ahead of him and were stationed along tho different roads. Another Story. Tnls was an unusually busy day for the marine reporters stationed about city Island at the entrance to the Sound. Their steam launch was kept humming all day, flitting after the pretty winged yachts that were bound to the east ward preparatory to gathering off Pequot House, in picturesque New London harbor, for the annual squad ron cruise of the New York Yacht club, which is to America what the Royal Yacht squadron is to Great Britain. This year's outing will eclipse anything in the past. While the cruise proper will pot begin until tomorrow, when the fleet will get un der way from the old -whaling port to run to Newport, the gathering is the initial and all-important step in the cruise, a meeting on board the flagship this afternoon being an im portant feature.
