pound and new potatoes have drop
ped a half cent. They have been
quoted at 3 cents per pound until the
last few days, when they fell to 2
cents.
Eggs have advanced a notch. They
have been retailing at 15 cents, but
today are quoted at 20 cents. This
takes them almost out of reach for
table use and the beef -steak will
again adorn their places on the
breakfast table until they become
cheaper. This is not likely until fall
and perhaps they will not see an
other drop until next spring, at which
season they always become a drug
on the market. A great many eggs
have been shipped out from Pendle
ton during the past few months. They
go to Portland and from there are
shipped to different places for con
sumption. Meats, sugar, coffee, salt and flour
remain the same.
