They remained in Pendleton Wednes day night and left Thursday for Athe na, where they will make their home. Glllett-Perry. In the office of Judge Fitz Gerald, Thursday evening, Mr. ' Morillo H. Gillett and Mrs. Mollie Perry wore married, Mr. Fitz Gerald performing the ceremony. Mr. Gillett is one of the most extensive farmers in Uma tilla county, owning and farming a largo area a few miles south of town. The bride is also well known here. Meach-Carter. Word has reached Pendleton of the marriage of Mort Meach, well known here, to Miss Mable Carter, of Port land. The wedding occurred several days ago. Mr.' and Mrs. Meach left Portland after the marriage for Mor row, Or., where Mr. Meach is twirl ing the horsehlde for the Morrow baseball team and working at his trade as painter and decorator. The many friends of Mr. Meach here will wish the couple unbounded happi ness. East End Dance. Saturday evening at the East End Dance Hall, a large crowd of young neonle from the town enjoyed sev eral hours tripping the light fantas tic to the strains of Klrkman's or chestra.
