Rigby grew so ill that she was no longei able to write. She died twn wfipk. after the death of Air. Arey", leaving a letter from Airs. Arey unanswered Air. Rigby answered the letter and told Mrs. Arey of the death of his wife. To this Airs. Arey replied, and since that time a correspondence has been kept up. Since leaving Arizona Airs. Arey has not seen Air. Rigby until last Tuesday, when he came to Stones. But a common bond of sym pathy united the two people and a warm friendship sprung up. This la ter ripened into love, and the couple agreed to become husband and wife. The arrangements for the wedding were all made by correspondence and when Mr. Rigby arrived here, everything was in readiness for the ceremony. The wedding took place at the home of the parents of the bride. Air. and Airs. Steadman. at Stones. Thursday evening at 9 o'clock. The ceremony was performed in the presence of about thirty of the friends and rela-, tives of the couple by the Rev. J. N Dingle, pastor of the Rock Falls Arethodist church. It was simple but beautiful. The couple was unattend-, ed, and the beautiful home was with- out decorations save for a few bou quets of flowers. The bride was sim ply attired in a pink waist and navy blue skirt. After the ceremony, congratula tions and best wishes of exceptional sincerity wer offered to the couple and soon an elaborate wedding repast was served to the company. A social hour was then enjoyed, during which the company had the oportuniry of meeting the groom Air. and Airs. Rigby will leave next Tuesday for their new home at Pen dleton. Ore., where they will live upon a large ranch. Air. Rigby is in terested in a 2000-acre wheat farm, and is the owner of an immense and ' very prosperous cattle ranch. He was met by but a very few people her previous to the wedding ceremony, but those who met him Thursday ' evening say he is a man of refinement and culture and one who commands the highest respect. He is a man of clean record and is said to be very highly thought of in his western home. He is to be heartily congrat ulated in securing for his bride Airs. Arey. She Is a woman who has lived here all her life and of whom ncthine out good can be said. She is of a sweet and lovable nature and her friends she can count by the scores. That the couple may be happy in their new relations is the expectation and the earnest wish of everybody. The bride was remembered with a large number of beautiful wedding gifts which were displayed to the guests in a room set apart for the purpose.
