North Yakima. Dec. 10. Dear Sir:
K. C. Biirllngame & Company of
North Yakima did the street work.
We ran reenmmend them In every

about $75 for the placing of the roek
In front of each 25-foot lot. We
think you ran do the Job cheaper than
this, as the third layer of top fine
work is not necessary, and the ex

be done nwav with.

Some Talk Vitrified Brick.
Hen in Pi txllelon. since the ques
tion litis been agitated during the past
few days, there Iiks been heard some
talk of tiding vitrified brick. Figures
will be at hiind In n short time, so that
the ( itl.ens of the town may know
OtnethlOf about what that kind of
street costs. It Is claimed by many
that the street made of vitrified brick
is permanent n any and that one ad
time In that briek may be at any
Lime taken up. for Instance, for the
laying of sewers, or other thlugs re
quiring that the streets he torn up.
Several towns are knowu of that have
used the vitrified brick, and the gen
eral opinion seems, to be that they
make an nevltoM sort of highway.

City Would Build Crossings.
