When Mr. Heaglo went to tho jail this morning ut about half past eight o'clock, ho found tho con tents of Tweedy's cell nearly consumed by firo, and the jail full of smoke. 1 weedy was found lying on his back in un adjoining cell, to which he had access, with his face covered with blood, ami pretending to bo in spawns. Ho was taken out into tho jail yard and loft in chargo of his father, who hud accom panied Mr. Ilcaglo to tho jail, and Mr. lleaglo returned and put out tho fire. Tweedy had evidently set firo to tho bedJ first, ami then punctured his skin some where to get blood to cover his faco. What pu't tho blood was intended to play iu his probnso of sick new is not known. Mr. l'e.iglo had Drs. Eagan, Darker, and King examine Tweedy, und they nli said that nothing was the matter with him.
