Interment was in the Gold Hill

society, Mrs. Ilcrtha Kuikman, rend­

Fred Brow n, James Bryan and Hen
Marsden.

in the case by Judge H. D. Norton
who presided over the trial in
the Medford court and who has
been ‘given written arguments on
both sides.
The state game commission is
attempting to stop construction of
the hydro-electric power dam and
has obtained 'a temporary restrain­
ing order.

Shrub* to be Planted
At City Hall Friday
On Friday afternoon of this week
the members of the garden club are
to meet at the city hall with shov­
els, shrubs and the grim desire to
plant the shrubs. Anyone having
suitable shrubs please bring them
that afternoon.
Committees have been appointed
and plans are going forward for the
annual banquet to be held on the
evening of April 22. The place will
be anounced later.
Three hundred favors are to be
made and sent to the regional and
garden club convention to be held
in Portland in June. These favors
will say good things of Gold Hill,
its industries and places of interest
nearby.
An executive meeting will be held
on March 22, 2 p. m. at the home uf
Mrs. P. E. Holderness. The purpose
of the meeting will be to prepare a
ballot for officers for the ensuing
year. Ail chairmen of the commit­
tees and elected officers are mem­
bers of the executive board.
The next meeting will be held at
the home of Mrs. Walter McLean,
April 5, at 2 p. m.
SPECIAL EASTER SERVICES
PLANNED BY'.METHODISTS
Special Easter services are being
arranged by the members of the
Methodist church here. At 6:30 this
Sunday morning the church ' will
hold sunrise services on the reser­
voir hill. Cars will be at the church
to take anyone there 'who wishes to
ride. Breakfast will also be served
at the church that morning and any­
one wishing to take part is asked
to see Miss Zelnia Thompson by
Friday evening.
The choir and young people arc
planning 'special music to be pre­
sented during the regular services.
