Who Took A Ride To Town? “I Did,” Says Sturabo’• Hen Even chickens have dreams, or at any rate that is probably what one “biddy” belonging to Mr. and Mrs. C. Stumbo of Foots Creek is think ing. Last Wednesday evening t h e chicken, a Barred Rock hen from the Stumbo flock, went to roost on the rear bumper of their car. Sev eral hours later she awoke to find herself bumping along in a drench ing rain. It wasn't so bad though for she rode clear to town and then too, she had a change to settle down for a two-hour nap while the fam ily attended the pageant at the school gymnasium here. The arrival at home later that evening found the hen still clinging to the bumper, none the worse for the twenty-five mile ride.
