The overpass would eliminate the hazard of crossing the Southern Pacifie tracks at the dangerous crossing near the depot. Mayor H. F. Drake attended a meeting in Medford recently when the plan for securing funds for grade crossing eliminations was dis cussed by the county chamber of commerce. Plans and a sketch of all railway and highway intersections in the Gold Hill vicinity were pre sented by R. E. Blankenburg at a meeting of city officials of the county held in Ihe office of County Engineer Bynning in Medford Sat urday morning. Mr. Rynning is pre paring a brief to be filed with the state highway commission show ing proposed overhead and under pass crossings in Jackson county. Of the three hundred millions ap propriated for the work in the United States, Oregon will probably receive between three or four mil lion.
