Mr. Cald w ell is an instructor in a Jefferson school. A meeting of the Townsend club w ill be held as usual at the city hall Friday evening at 8:00 o'clock. A good attendence is desired. It is expected all petitions w ill be in nt this time as they must be in by the firs t of the year. Mr. and Mrs. Reis Chapman of Roseburg, stopped at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Blair Christmas day for a short visit, while en route to Medford to spend the da* with relatives. The Cuapmans are former residents of Gold Hill, Mr. Chapman being with the Standard Oil company. Meisinger, former Gold H ill school principal is now educa tional advisor of the Evans Creek CCC camp, having been transferred from the Camp Agness station on low er Rogue River.
