The coronation of Queen Mother of the celebration is truly a (itting example of what the celebration should include. It lends dignity to the occasion. A few years ago nearly every cel ebration featured a bathing beauty contest or some similar contest to select a queen for thier celebration. It was even suggested for the Dia mond Jubilee. But a smart commit tee said no, this is not a ballyhoo show. The honor of Queen Mother is to be conferred on the outstanding pioneer woman in the state, paying special tribute to pioneer woman hood. This event scheduled for the second day of the Jubilee should be attended by everyone in the state that can possibly attend. Other major events are all plan ned in relation to the growth and development of the state, always keeping in mind that the week is an observance of the state's “5th an niversary of admittance to the union—and not just an advertising celebration.
