(Just one egg may be used if desired, und the results w ill be practically as good.) Bake in a greased square or oblong pan, in a slow oven (350 degrees) about 40 minutes. This is easy to make and is light and moist. The only thing I find difficult about this recipe is * to keep the gingerbread on hand very long, for one piece seems to call for another.— Mrs. C. M. Season well (and add a small quantity of minced onion if desir ed) 2 pounds of freshly ground round steak. Put into cakes and fry in hot fat in a large skillet until tender and well browned. Remove the cakes to a hot platter (keep hot), pour off nil hut 3 or 4 table- spoonfuls of the fat, and return the skillet to the stove.
