It was then that we became established in Southern Ore­ gon and purchased the Gold Hill News. Almost five years ago we entered Glendale and since that time we have been serving that thriving little community with a home news­ paper, The Glendale Log, and later acquired The Jackson­ ville Post and have given of our time, efforts and money to serve the people of the three communities with personal and industrial news. In those five years we have become attached to this country. \ \ e have lived in many communities and met (many people but there are none better, neither people nor communities than we have found here. We have enjoyed our stay. We have made many ac­ quaintances and, we believe, many friends, since coining to Oregon and we hope that our friends and patrons will con­ tinue on with our successors and give them the support they merit in keeping the oracles of publicity working in the cities we represent. \ \ e say this for we are giving up the helm. \ \ e are vacating the sanctum.
