Joe Hammersly was in from the
Applegate country Wednesday.« th­

local parties have this mine under
bond and have been doing develop­
ment work there for the past few
weeks. They have installed a Gib­
son mill and ex|K\-t to have it un­
der operation before the end of
the week. I hey have a fair sized
body of ore blocked out.
This
mine is located in Ferris Gulch and
was formerly known a s the l.aton
property. Mr. Hayes has several
specimen!* of orv from this mine
at hi, place of business in this city,
which look very promising.

of Medford.
Funeral services were conducted
by Rev. J. K. Cornier at the Conger
eha|»el at 2:0« p. in. Tuesday. In­
terment was in Medford Cemetery
