The name of "Tex” Rickard needs no introduction to any American. Perhaps there is no ether man who has been in the spotlight more than this great promoter of sports. Mr. Rickard was not an educated man. He would not measure up to the standards of the " \\ ho s V ho’ col umn outside of his own chosen field but nevertheless he was a man who made himself known all over the sporting world.
