dollar», as witness the above menu. Recipes for preparing the
foods are:
“Savory M eat: Shred one pound of
lamb, beef or pork and brown in its
own fat in a trying pan. Add one
cup of chopped celery and celery
tops, one tablespoon minted onion
and one tablespoon salt. Cover and
cook about ten minute*.
Add two
tablespoons dour and two table
spoons butter mixed together and
tw o cups canned, strained tomato
Juice. Stir until the mixture is thick
and bubbling, then serve.
