The Southern Oregon Agricultural Society has been organized and articlos of incorporation signed and filed, with James Cox, Afhcr Murks, Henry Conn, Sr., E. F. Sheridan and W. F. It is .iKo advisable to keep a little tar daubed along ineiae of troughs where sheep are salted. Tho disease is caus ed by a kind of fly depositing its egg in the nniinals nostrils in the spring and summer mouths the grub being hatch ed out early the following spring, caus ing the poor sheep great suffering and burroughing into its brain when a pain ful death ensues. It has been said that tobacco smoke Mown up iho nostril' will kill tho grub. How this may bo I cannot say. One thing certain is that tobacco smoking not (infrequently hort ens life in thp cam of a ptciefl of two footed animals known nt "'gnib-enterH."
