The steamer Olympia, from Wilming
ton, Del., has reached San Francisco, on
the way to Puget Sound. Sho was built
new for tho O. IX. k N. Co. for the Pugtt
Sound service.
In tho German Reichstag the death
of Dr. Lasker was suitably noticed and
liberals thanked our Congress for the
resolution in his honcr, which caused
imperialists to condemn our Congress in
its action as well as Lasker's German
friends. A groat uproar arose over some
sharp criticisms of Bismarck, the con
servatives denying the right to criticise
tho ckasselellcr.
The meeting of tho Union County
Agricultural Society, held on Thursday
last, was well represented by tho stock
holders. The following gentlemen were
elected a board of directors for the ensu
ing two years: W. J. Snodgrass, M.
Sterling, D. A. McAllister. Ben. Brown,
W. J. Snodgrass and M. Sterling were
re-elected to tho offices of president,
sectary and treasurer respectively.
