The Marl Lane Express, reviewing the British grain trade for the past week, says: Owing to scarcity of sound, dry samples, nativo wheat Is dearer, most of the provincial markets show Ing a difference ot a shilling in prices. Flour it firmly maintained despitu the small demand. Barley has ad vanced in price. Other articles are unchanged. The trade in foreign wheat is very backward. The trade in flour is slow, but values are steady, notwithstanding the unprecedented amount on passieo and spot. Oats are dull and weaker. Other articles are unchanged. Cargoes otr coast are Ktronger and in active demand; fivo fresh arrivals and nino sales, twtlvo withdrawn and four remain, consisting of two of No 2, red winter, and 2 of No. 1 California.
