to be no reason for any holder of hops to hurry
to sell as yet, but it is not easy to seo the bot
tom of tho hop business.
Apples are abundant, and'the market over
stocked with inferior grades. Prices range
from 50 to 6j cent. Pears average about C2J
cents a bushel.
Dried fruit has mado no advanco, but tho
time has not come for a demand in that line
of goods. As soon as frc9h fruits are out of
date, we may expect a demand for dried fruit
that will cause a fair advanco over present
quotations. Tiiat is the natural sequence, and
wo oro a littlo surprised that speculators do
not move in that direction.

could be duplicated to-day; no sales of No. 1
reported; S1.75 bid for choice shipping.
