accident occurred at this place on Friday, Dec.
3d, resulting in tho death of Mr. Duncan Mc
Feil, who wa engage .1 in driving a team for
Mr, J. A. Origgs. It was a cold, frosty
morning, and, it is supposed, tho boards 011
tho wagon, mod for dumping manure, slid
forward and struck the horses on the legs,
frightening them and causing them to run
away, Duncan was thrown forward and kick-

rendered him insensible. He was then drac-

I.V) yards. Men ran to bis assistance, but ho
wa ilea.l before anyone roadie.) him, proba
bly Wing instantly killed. His neck and
several tilts were broken, and ho waa badly
inutileil otherwise, Dcccascel was a sailor by
occupation and a native of Glasgow, Scotland.
He had 110 relations in this country, but had

hurried. He had received a letter from his
relative in Scotland aliout an hour before his
death, and was feeling very happy in conse
