A Horrible Affair.
A Yonnc Married Woman Snot Throncb
tbo Boart and Instantly Killed.
Ono of the saddest affairs wo hnvo
head of lately occurred on Lewis river
last Friday afternoon. A young man
named Fisher, who has been working
for Andrew Millard, one of tho solid
men of Cowlitz county, was amusing
himself by snapping cnjis on a shotgun
which ho thought was empty, pointing
the gun at Mrs. Millaitl and a young
lady visitor, Miss Burt, so as to ftighten
them. The ladies begged him to desist,
but Fisher said ho would snap ono more
cap and emit. This cap exploded the
charge, which entered the heart of Mrs.
Millard, killing her instantly. Tho
sceno which ensued when the husband
entered the house and found tho idol of
his heart a corpso was terrible to witness.
The deceased was a most estimable lady,
had been married but a few years, and
leaves a largo circle of relatives and
friends to mourn her unfortunato death.
Tho proper form for a will nowadays
will read : "To the respective attorneys
of my children I give my cntiio esta'te
and wordly goods of all description.
Personally to the children and to my
beloved wife I give all that remains."
