Fakmkr: On Monday morning I left my team with my old Iriend and fellow sol dier J. H, Dimick, nair Hubbtrd, aud took the morning train for this place, on my way to attend the Grand Lodge or W. T. Hub bard Is nuking rapid Improveiuent, and the farmers round about are ninont; the most prosperous aud enterprising iu the State. It is near there where the large potato and root crops are raided by J. B. and G. W. Dimick, G. V. Dimick Is also a breder of flue stock, some of which he will no doubt have on ex hibition nt the coming State Fair. On Moiidoy eouinu I fell in at a meeting of Portland Lodge, No. 201, where weall en joyed the privilege of listening to the read ing of the many good things in the Key-Xote a most excellent Lodgo paper, under the editorial charge of the very efllcent Secretary, SNter Anna Fornsides, with J. W. Gamble as Ii us 1 moss Manager. Every Lodge should i have a Lodge paper for the instruction and I edification of its members. A most excel lent recilation was attentively listened to fromSiblcr McCord, which I wish could be heard iu every Lodgo In the State. Sisters Femslde aud McCord are neices of Sister Coburn, of the yciv Xoithiresi, who with her daughters, aud M. E. and Bolle Sutherland, and Bros. Shaver. Miller. Sinister. Noon. CorvalM? Uahx Hakxki). The barn of Jlr. Wurrou Cranston, in tlic AVulilow Hill's was burned Saturday, about noon with its contents, which was straw. It ap pears that one of his workman was en gaged, ust before dinner, iu cleaning up the rubbish around the barn and setting lire to it. One of the piles which was supposed to be out, commu nicated with the building in some way, while the workmen .were at dinner.
