Farmer: It has been asked, " What Is the best way to get rid of thoground squir rel?" Kow I submit thn following as in my opinion the very best. I have tried it to my satisfaction. Take one quart of wheat, boll it until the grain Is soft, without lotting it scorch: when sufficiently done, take from the lire, drain off tho water, pour out the wheat into an old pan or other vessel, add onohaudful of sugar, mix veil, then take one bottle of strychnine, pulverize well, and mix its contents with the wheat; ctlr until it Is thcroagbly Incorporated. When the mix ture Is ready for use, fifteen or twenty grains put In the mouth of each squirrel-hole are sufficient, and will effectually rid evo-y farm ofuboso pests.
