Hong Kong or White China Geese, Salkm, March 23d, 75. Mn EniTOti: Allow ins to call attention of your readers to tho Kong Kong or White. ChlnaGoose. This bird Is of pure suowy white ness, more swau-llko than any other room, with a bright orange color! bill, and a large colored rose at Us now. It la a particularly beautiful bird, either In or out of the water,' Its neck long, slender and gracefully arched) when swimming, and la generally Vfry at tractive. Ono of Us peculiarities la Its almost constant laying of excellent eggs. It com mences laying at three and a half to four mouths old and seems to havo no desire to set. Its egg aro not as largo aa the common goose eggs, but are exctllont for quality and flavor aud I think equal to hen eggs, Tlieso eggs must be set under other lowls. I bav bad them for three years now and not seen any show of selling habits. Their featbem aro not quite a abandautaa theuommon goose, but the down I inuoh thicker and nearly equal to the best swan's down. Their attachment to each other U not surpassed. Last spring I set soma of these eggs uuder a ben. They hatched, ami when the gosling were about one week old I sot the hen at liberty. As soon aa she was discovered by three China ganders thrt wore running about the premises they drove her oil and took charge of the irosllnas themselves and Ionic care of them and reared tbein suoceaslully. Can anluoJdent of tout kind ha related of auy other bird. Yours truly. J, L. Pauuisu. EroM Inhki'k.npknck.
