ary were of considerable Importance,
and that upon a' falling market, has
tened by tho decline at Liverpool,

for by our people, the contrary being
generally expected by tho trade Mid
leading holders. Thu result has been
a decided advance, in freights and a
corresponding decline in tho price of
Flour and grain. Tho total purchases
of Wheat thus secured have been of
considerable Importance, but at date
olleriugsaro less free, with an unwlll
Ingucsson Ihu part of many farmers
holding largo clop parcels to sell at
current rat.es.
Our present stock of Oregon Hour
In warehouses is computed at GO.IMK)
bids, wifli. perhaps, as much more to
arrlvu within thu season. The effect
of this unexpected supply Is to depress
the Wheat market, our local millers
not being Inclined to buy grain and
manufacture Flour, without first find
ing a buyer for the product. The out
going steamer ATnerlmt, for-CJjliia and
Japan, will taku a few thousand
barrels Flour.
