sporting events. But
some are looking to boy-
cott the big game after
the halftime show has
been the topic of a heated
debate since Kaepernick,
who has not been signed
by an NFL team, said he
would not stand for the
national anthem in pro-
test of racial discrimi-
nation against blacks
in the United States.
Last summer, the NFL
implemented a league-
wide policy that players
must stand for the na-
tional anthem .
Some, including Ri-
hanna and Pink, have
reportedly
turned
down offers to perform
during this year’s half-
time. Jay-Z alluded to
his feelings in a recent
song that he declined
to perform at the Super
Bowl, and Amy Schum-
er refused to appear
in a TV ad during the
game.
Cardi B said she won’t
take the Super Bowl
halftime stage until
Kaepernick gets a job,
but she will perform
at a downtown concert
next week.
Maroon 5 will be
joined by Atlanta-based
rapper Big Boi and Tra-
vis Scott during the
halftime performance.

Portland Mall Management, Inc. (PMMI) is a not-for-profit
public benefit corporation under contract the Tri-County
Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet)
to provide specific maintenance services, cleaning, and
security of the Portland Transit Mall (5th & 6th avenues
between NW Irving & SW Jackson streets).
PMMI is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ)
from contractors painting of street light, catenary poles,
pedestrian signal poles and cabinets, controller boxes,
sign posts, and street furniture on the Portland Transit
Mall comprised of 5th and 6th avenues between NW
Irving Street SW Jackson Street. Painting services are
expected to vary from annual touch up to full repainting
of these items using specialty paint products. The most
qualified contractor will be selected to negotiate a flexible
services contract based on specific task orders to be ne-
gotiated and issued as needed for tree pruning services.

is requesting proposals for Food and Beverage Opera-
tions for its Visitor Venues. Sealed proposals are due no
later than 2:00 PM Pacific Time, March 19, 2019, in Met-

Analyst, RFP 3599. The Metro Visitor Venues (Oregon
