financial institutions
that provide banking
to cannabis businesses
• extend legal access to
medical marijuana for
U.S. veterans
The resolution’s ap-
proval means that the
U.S. Conference of May-
ors as an organization
will now create federal
policy recommendations
to submit to Congress
starting next year.

Amazon Fights Back
SEATTLE (AP) — Seat-
tle leaders on Tuesday
repealed a tax on large
companies such as Ama-
zon and Starbucks after a
backlash from business-
es, a stark reversal from
a month ago when the
City Council unanimous-
ly approved the effort to
combat a growing home-
lessness crisis.
A divided crowd chant-
ed, jeered and booed
at the council meeting,
drowning out the leaders
as they cast their 7-2 vote.

DBE goal for utilizing Disadvantaged Business Enterpris-
es (DBEs) for the Federal Fiscal Years 2019, 2020, and

Triennial DBE Goal of 15%
The goal will apply to all Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA) assisted contracts awarded by King County in Fed-
eral Fiscal Years (FFY) 2019, 2020, and 2021. King Coun-
ty is now soliciting comments from the public on its pro-
posed 15% Triennial DBE Goal for FAA assisted projects.
King County’s Triennial DBE Goal for the period FFY
2019 through 2021, and the rationale for the proposed
goal percentage are available for inspection at the follow-

401 Fifth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104.
These documents are available for review during normal
business hours (8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.) for a period of
thirty (30) days following the date of this notice. The Busi-

accept public comments on the proposed triennial 15%
