are several Pageturners groups with

At North Portland Library, Pag-

books written by and about African

“I’m excited to meet people from dif-
ferent communities in Portland and
introduce them to authors they may
not be as familiar with,” says Tishaa,
library assistant and leader of Pag-
eturners Black Voices.
Pageturners Black Voices resumes
from its summer break on September
12 with author Mario DePriest visit-
ing the group to discuss his book, The

frankly about starting and sustain-
ing a relationship. The book is filled
with suggestions, experiences and
hints that can possibly save a fading
relationship or enhance a successful
one. Pick up a free copy of the book
at North Portland Library so you can
participate in the conversation.
