Represent the City in complex litigation in state and
federal courts involving constitutional challenges to
City ordinances and actions, civil rights claims, writs

stitutional law, government law, and employment
litigation a plus.
LITIGATION/TRIAL ATTORNEY
Defend the City in torts matters in state and federal
courts. Responsible for all phases of litigation, in-
cluding drafting pleadings, motions and briefs; con-
ducting all aspects of discovery; court appearances;
settlement negotiations; and trial work. Must have
significant state and federal trial experience.
CONSTRUCTION/REAL ESTATE ATTORNEY
Seeking construction real estate attorney with expe-
rience in contract drafting and negotiation, claims
handling, dispute resolution, and property man-
agement. Experience in real-estate finance, pub-
lic-agency procurement processes, landlord-tenant
law, and complex construction manager/general
contractor (CM/GC), design-build contracts; advise
on Oregon real property and landlord-tenant law,
lender liability, regulatory compliance liens, and

held its first national tournament there in 1933. The
founders were fun-loving and competitive African
Americans whose previous efforts to play tourna-
ment bridge were frustrated by the overt racial dis-
crimination of the time. With a membership of ap-
proximately 3,000, there are over 100 ABA clubs in 25
states. The ABA advocates bridge competitions and
sponsors tournaments for playing duplicate bridge
throughout the United States. In addition, educa-
tion is a high priority and the ABA awards 24 college
scholarships annually. The ABA is divided geograph-
ically and Washington, Oregon and Alaska comprise
the Northwestern Section, which is hosting this event.
Organizers are expecting bridge players from across
the country to attend and urge local bridge players to
participate in this competition as well.
