CLACKAMAS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE HOSTS ‘MENTAL HEALTH
FIRST AID’ TRAINING: Similar to first aid and CPR, mental health
first aid teaches individuals how to help those experiencing
mental health challenges or crisis. 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., 315 Kennel
Ave., Molalla. Cost of this training is $15. This includes a book,
snacks and drinks throughout the day. Please call (503) 936-

The Highland Christian Center will
celebrate and honor the Rev. Dr. W. G. Hardy
Jr.20th year as pastor during a weekend of
Pastor Appreciation events, March 18-20.
The 20th Pastoral Appreciation weekend
will feature special guest speaker, Pastor
Clinton House of Las Vegas, Nev. At 7 p.m.
March 18; a Youth Gala on March 19, also
at 7 p.m.; and there will be two special
Sunday services on March 20 with special
guest speaker Dr. Michael Stevens of North
Carolina; and Minister DaNell Daymon of
Seattle, as guest choral director.
The Palm Sunday church service will be
held at 10 a.m. with a special children’s
presentation and at 3:30 p.m. the
Anniversary Celebration will feature

Forum on Social Justice March 10
MAYORAL CANDIDATE FORUM ON SOCIAL JUSTICE: Join activists
and candidates for Mayor of Portland for a public conversation
about social justice issues in our community. Doors open at 6

The Maranatha Church will host a Mayoral Forum
on Social Justice March 10 at 4222 Northeast 12th Ave-
nue. Doors open at 6 p.m., program begins at 6:30 and
will run about 2 hours.

KGW Launches Food Drive
AFRICAN MARIMBA CONCERT 21ST ANNUAL CONCERT BY THE STU-
DENTS OF MYLINDA KING: Put on your dancing shoes and come
hear six marimba bands play high-energy music. Free. All ages
welcome. 11:30 a.m.- 3 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m. Portland Four-
square Church, 2830 NE Flanders St.
The thirteenth annual KGW Great Food Drive is
underway for the month of March. The KGW Great
Food Drive is a major public service campaign that
addresses hunger issues in communities throughout
Oregon and southwest Washington.
The goal is to collect enough food and cash to pro-
vide more than 800,000 pounds of food for local area
residents.
Throughout the month, KGW, Tillamook Cheese,
U.S. Bank and local Toyota Dealers will strive to help
supply the Oregon Food Bank Network with essential
food to be distributed to its network of 21 regional
food banks and more than 950 hunger relief agencies
across Oregon and Clark County, Washington. Dona-
tions can be made in several ways:
• Purchase Tillamook cheese. Tillamook will donate
a portion of proceeds from any size or variety of
Tillamook Cheese purchased during the month of
March in Oregon and Clark County, Washington.
• Donate 10 or more cans of food at any participating
local Toyota dealership and receive $10 off a parts
or service visit.
• Make a cash or food donation at any participating
U.S. Bank.
