motivated, sales-oriented, student-focused Employment
Specialist. Create and oversee trade-related internships,
match students to industry career pathways, and pro-
mote student success in short- and long-term job
retention and earnings. Able to work independently and
collaboratively, have outstanding communications skills,
and exercise data integrity.
• Plan, coordinate, and develop individualized career
transition and placement plans.
• Develop and oversee training and employment sites
with local employers for student internships/work-based
learning (WBL) and ensure WBL agreements are com-
pleted and on file. Conduct site visits.
• Serve as liaison between employer and student.
• Utilize community resources and refer students to other
program areas, such as support services, transfers,
extensions, and advanced programs.
• Assess transition needs of students completing the pro-
gram; coordinate referrals and support services.

The Meyer Memorial Trust, originally called the Fred G.
Meyer Charitable Trust, was founded in 1982 by Fred
Meyer, who started the chain of Pacific Northwest-based
retail stores that bears his name. The Meyer Memorial
Trust was the largest private foundation in the Pacific
Northwest until 1995; today, with assets of approximate-

The Trust seeks a Controller who will work as part of a
team to ensure the integrity of the organization’s finance,
accounting and investment systems in support of the
