Confederate soldier and two of his former slaves are left to observe Passover together in the wake of
the Civil War, prompting the challenging examination and reconciliation of the past while revealing
the fear and uncertainty of venturing into a new future. Taproot Theatre’s Regional Premiere of The
Whipping Man is directed by Producing Artistic Director Scott Nolte and features Seattle’s veteran
actor, William Hall, Jr., as well as Ryan Childers and Tyler Trerise.
Multnomah County Department of Community Services
is seeking a full-time limited duration GIS Technician
(Engineering Technician 1) to join the Road Services
Division on a Water Quality Program /Asset Manage-
ment project. The GIS Technician supports the storm
water and road asset mapping effort. The position func-
tions primarily as a GIS software technician to create and
edit storm water drainage system features and delineate
drainage areas in ArcGIS environment. Other essential
functions include verifying assets in the field, importing
data from AutoCAD or other data formats, creating maps,
managing data in spreadsheets and databases, and

The Oregon Zoo, a department of Metro, a metropolitan
service district organized under the laws of the State of

posals for Beer & Wine Supply at the Oregon Zoo.

Metro is seeking proposals from qualified firms and dis-
tributors to provide beer and/or wine for the concert
series, restaurant, special and catered events at the Ore-
gon Zoo. After cutting in early spring, the Zoo will be
requesting that these qualified firms and distributors pro-
vide a tasting of their products in order to make wine and
beer selections. Selections made will be based on crite-
ria including but not limited to price, taste, sustainability
and marketability.
