Sunday february 13
Portland resident Shirley Minor with Quintard Taylor, the Scott and
Dorothy Bullitt Professor of American History at the University of
Washington, at the Cannon Beach Arts Symposium on the Oregon
Coast. This year the event celebrated the 50th anniversary of the
Freedom Rides of 1961, and featured Taylor as well as Pulitzer Prize-
winning author Taylor Branch.
