lions of refugees from the chill
winters of the North. Attractions
range from the excitement of Miami
Beach to the solitude of the Ever
glades. The waters surrounding
Florida's tip and its multitude of
keys offer fine fishing, swimming,
skin diving, and boating.
Outer Banks of
North Carolina
Great shifting sand dunes dotted
with patches of grass known as sea
oats form a backdrop for a long
stretch of Atlantic Ocean beach that
is fine for swimming. The elongated
sand spit also is noted for such his
toric sites as Kitty Hawk, scene of
,the Wright brothers' first successful
flight, and Fort Raleigh, near Man
teo, where an early English colony
vanished without trace.

more than half-a-million acres of
water bordered by 10,000 miles of
shore line has produced a fabulous

ing camps, boat docks, and resorts in

Wisconsin Dells
The picturesque Dells were formed
when the Wisconsin River cut a
channel through soft sandstone to
a depth of 150 feat and for a dis
tance of 10 miles, carving the rock
into fantastic shapes. Some of the
most interesting formations can be
reached only by boat. Of summer
time interest are ceremonial dances
which are staged nightly by the
Winnebago Indians.
