A1K FORCE 7, OREGOX 0
Halfback Dick Czamota, on a
power play off his right guard
tackle slot, went the final one
yard for the touchdown. John
Gavin's placement was good
with 1:14 remaining in the first
quarter. The Air Force Falcons
drove 83 yards on 16 plays,
despite four five-yard off-side
penalties, for the touchdown.
The Falcons took possession
on their 17 yard line after Buck
Corey's attempted 32-yard field
goal was blocked by Joe Rod
well. Oregon had moved 53
yards on 12 plays to first down
on the Air Force 17, but a run
and two pass plays failed before
the field goal attempt.
The big Air Force plays irr1
eluded a 15-yard wide run to
the left by Larry Tollstam after
slipping through three Oregon
tacklers, a 13-yard option run
by Terry Isaacson and then a
19-yardcr by John Lorber, on a
draw play, for first down on
the Oregon six. Following a
five-yard Falcon penalty Lorber
made four off left tackle and
then Czarnota, on the same play
he scored on, went six to the
one.
OREGON 7, AIR FORCE 7
Berry passed 32 yards to end
Dick Emwalle in the end zone
with Jerry Thies and Darryl
Bloodworth defending. Corey
kicked his 12th of 13 place
ments of the season with 11:30
remaining in the second quar
ter. Oregon rolled 80 yards on 10
plays for the score, despite a
holding penalty against the
Webfoots. The drive started late
in the first period with the sec
ond unit doing most of the
work. Jim Josephson, on a
.quickie at his left tackle, spun
13 yards and on a fake to the
fullback, Berry passed to H.D.
Murphy for 20 yards and first
down on the Air Force 30. After
Berry fumbled and recovered
for a two-yard loss, he faked
a handoff to Mel Renfro and
then fired the TD pass to 1m
walle. AIR FORCE 14, OREGON
7 Isaacson, on a keeper at his
strong side, cut back at left
tackle for five yards and the
touchdown. Gavin's placement
cams with 6:06 remaining in
the second quarter.
The Falcons moved 80 yards
in 14 plays for the TD. Isaac
son's pass to end Carlton Simp
son for 16 yards made first
down on the Oregon 30 for the
big play and three plays later
Isaacson's rollout to his right
went 11 yards for first down
on the eight. Bloodworth made
three yards before Isaacson
scored.
k OREGON 14, AIR FORCE
14 Berry, on a sneak at left
guard, went the last half yard
for the touchdown and Corey's
placement came with 35 seconds
remaining in the half.

Oregon 47. Renfro was hard hit
by linebacker Dean Hess and
the Webfoot left the game
briefly. A Berry-to-Greg Willen
er pass was good for 16 yards
and first down on the Air Force
32 and then Larry Hill, on a
trap at left tackle, bulled 18
yards for first down on the 14.
Renfro made six and Hill five
to the three. The yards came
hard then with Renfro diving
right guard for two and then a
half yard before Berry scored.
OREGON 21, AIR FORCE
14 Berry passed to Willcner
six yards into the end zone for
the TD. Willcner hooked into
the inside and took it on his
knees. Corey's placement came
with 8:01 remaining in the third
quarter.
The Webfoots moved 74 yards
in eight plays after the Air
Force was forced to make the
first punt of the game, Oregon
taking possession on its 26. The
series started with a five-yard
penalty, but Renfro, on a fake
double reverse, passed to Im
walle who caught the ball along
with Bloodworth for 29 yards
and first down on the Air Force
46.
Renfro made nine and Hill
ten to the 27. Duane Cargill
made three and Berry on a boot
leg to his left, hit Imwalle for
15 yards and first down on the
nine. Renfro, with Willener
blocking, went three to the six,
from where Berry pitched the
six-pointer to Willener.
OREGON 28, AIR FORCE
14 Hill, on a pitchout to his
left and provided running room
by the left side of the Oregon
line, went from just inside the
Oregon part of the midficld
strip nearly 50 yards behind
Berry's key brush block for the
touchdown. Corey's placement
came with 3:34 remaining in the
third quarter.
Oregon gained possession on
its 14, following a clipping pen
alty on the kickoff. Josephson,
between left guard and tackle,
made 24 to the 38, Renfro went
nine and Josephson four for
first down just inside the 50
from where Hill scored.
k OREGON 35, AIR FORCE
14 Ron Veres passed two yards
to Cary Tommcraason into the
end zone with Dick Ritchie de
fending for the final Oregon
TD. Corey's fifth straight place
ment came with 13:08 remain
ing in the fourth quarter.
The 73-yard drive started late
in the third quarter when Ore
gon was penalized on a punt.
Tommeraason returned to the
50, but the clipping penalty
moved Oregon back to the 27.
Veres passed to Willener for 15
yards.
Tommcraason, on a double
reverse to his left, went 35
yards behind Bill Del Biaggio's
key block for first down on the
Falcon four. Lu Bain failed to
gain, but a personal foul moved
the ball to the two, from where
the TD pass developed.
AIR FORCE 20. OREGON
35 Bloodworth, on a dive at
right guard-tackle, went a half
yard for the final TD of the
game. Bloodworth's attempted
pass to Dick Brown for the two
pointer failed with 4:02 re
maining in the game.
The Falcons, playing against
mostly Oregon's reserve units,
went 68 yards on three plays
after Ron Snidow's punt (Ore
gon's first in two games and
the only one of the game). A
pass from Allan McArtor to Bill
Landes went for 14, Lorer made
12 and the last double-figure
play was a 10-yard pass from
McArtor to Ray Lcnno.
