Hints From Heloise
1
Dear Heloise:
About the greatest thing I have learned over the years is
to vary hamburger.
Most people never think to stuff bell peppers. For those
who do, I have suggestion. Cut your peppers crosswise in
stead of lengthwise.
This allows the pepper itself to he put in a muffin tin to be
baked. Pile the meat loaf high sn that it will look like Mount
Fuji. These little individual meat loaves are so pretty when
(Just a few minutes before serving) chili sauce is poured over
the "lop-of-the-mountain" and allowed to drip down the aides.
' Another thing about piling the meat high is that those who
do not particularly like the taste of peppers can have the de
licious meat itself and leave the cull.
And, Heloise, the best part of fixing meat in this manner
Is that the seeds from the peppers can he utilized. Put them
in the meat mixture. Sure season the old hamburger!
Poor Hamburger
A word of caution: buy the best paint brush you can afford.
This saves streaks and makes the paint smooth. Clean the
brush afterward. For 10 cents you can get paint brush clean
era at your hardware and dime stores. Paint brushes can be
used for years if they are properly taken care of.
If you apply a second coat (next day, after you have rested)
' make the paint thinner and it will go on twice as fast as the
first coat did. This will remove all marks and cover any mis
flakes you made the first time. It did mine.
! Why not have a beautiful kitchen? Paint it today.
