CHICAGO W Home runs by
pitcher Jerry walker and Norm
Siebern featured a 12-hit attack
Friday night, powering the Kan
sas City A s to a 7-4 victory over
the Chicago White Sox.
A surprisingly large crowd of
12,246 braved cold and windy
weather only to see Chicago's
four-game winning streak come
to a halt
Sox southpaw Juan Pizarro,
victorious in two previous starts
proved no puzzle to the A's. Piz
arro's troubles began when he
served a lead off homer to
Walker in the third inning. Sie
bern's three-run shot in the
fifth sent the hard-throwing
Puerto Rican to the showers and
staked the A's to a 5-0 lead.
Walker posted his second vic
tory over the Sox, who have lost
only three games, but departed
