    Dental Society Elects
Officers for '61-62
Dr. L. E. Hfcplett of Eugene
and Dr. Dean I. Webb of Cottage
Grove have been chosen to head
the Lane County District Dental
Society during 1961-62. .
In elections last week, Epplett
was advanced from the president
elect's post which he held during
1960-61. Webb will 'succeed Ep
plett as president in 1962-63.
Other officers who will head
up the 96-member society are
Dr. ; Martin Kolstoe, vice presi
dent;Dr. Bbbert Stansbury, secretary-treasurer;,
and Dr. Robert
Glass," all of Eugene, editor of
the society's -monthly bulletin.
Doctor Epplett,- 45,' .is a native
of Portland and a 1950 graduate
of Qregon State College. He grad-

uated from the University of Ore
gon dental school in 1950, and
has been in practice in Eugene
since 1953. He served with the
Army during World War II and
with the Am Force dunng the
Korean war. He is a major n
the Air force Reserve, a mem
ber of the Eugene Lions Club and
of the" Chamber of Commerce
armed services committee.
Dbetar Webb, 38, a native of St.
George, Utah, graduated in 1948
from the iUniversity of Southern
California; dental school after
taking pre-dental work at South
ern Utah.! He served two years
as a captain in the Army and is a
member o Rotary, Elks and the
Chamber of Commerce.

of ceremonies.

Several expansion projects are
to be considered by the Eugene
Water and Electric Board at a
regular meeting Monday noon.
. Included will be electric ex
tensions in the Avalon Drive
area, Dahlia Street, Cheryl Street,
Wilco Gardens and Edgewood
additions.
- - The board will also discuss pur
chase of two sluice gates for the
Hayden Bridge filtration plant,
study bids for a truck body, and
take a look at plans for bringing
power from the Carmen-Smith
hydroelectric dams to Eugene.
