MRS. STANLEY G. ULLRICH (Ann Wilhelm) carried an historic family rosary at her
marriage Feb. 13 in-St. Mary's Catholic Church. Her mother's cousin, Father Schaefers
of Portland, officiated. The couple will live at Roseburg.
Daughter of Pioneer Family Wedded
The Rev. Francis Schaefers of
St. Thomas More parish in Port
land came to Eugene to celebrate
the Nuptial Low Mass which
married his cousin, Miss Ann
Wilhelm, to Stanley G. Ullrich on
Saturday, Feb. 13, in St. Mary's
Catholic Church. He has served
in this capacity for all members
of the family since ordination.
The ceremony took place at 10
a.m.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Evelyn Schaefers Wilhelm,
and the bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. George Ullrich, all
of Eugene.
Pink tulips and white stock
were altar arrangements and also
formed bouquets on tall candel
abra which held tapers, in decor
ation of the church. Music for the
ceremony was by Mr. and Mrs.
Dale Cooley and Robert Hamill.
The bride, who was escorted by
her brother. Charles Robert Wil
helm, wore a graceful gown of
crisp white taffeta, made witn
long sleeves, the scoop neckline
edged in baby scallops, the front
of the bodice ornamented with an
anplique of lace and embroidery,
hichliehted with sequins. She
wore an illusion veil, fingertip
length, held by a clip-style head
dress of Alencon lace and seed
pearls.
She carried a tailored bouquet
of green-and-brown orchids com
bined with white velvet foliage,
and left the bouquet at the
Blessed Virgin's altar following
the reception, in the tradition of
Marylhurst graduates.
The bride also carried a crystal
rosary which was a gift from her
aunt, Miss Elizabeth Wilhelm of
San Francisco. It was made by
Sister Loretta Ann of Marylhurst,
using crystal beads which were
given by the bride's grandfather,
the late George Wilhelm, to her
grandmother, on their 25th wed
ding anniversary. In addition, she
carried a sheer white handker
chief given to her by her great
aunt. Miss Ann C. Schaefers.
Miss Beth Wilhelm was her
sister's honor maid, and other
bridal attendants were Miss Bar
bara Keller of Estacada and Mrs.
Wayne C. Jenkins. All attendants
wore empire gowns of blush pink
taffeta with lace applique on the
bodice and short cap sleeves.

on the history of early Eugene,
will return to continue the pro
gram. There also will be folk
music and songs to accompany
her talk.

best man for Mr. Ullrich, and

The wedding reception took
place after the church service, in
the King Cole Room of Eugene
Hotel. Mrs. C. J. Schaefers of
Coos Bay poured coffee and Mrs.
George Scott of Eugene, aunt of
the groom, served punch. At an
other punch table, C. J. Schaef
ers and J. F. Brorby, uncles of
the bride, and William Dresser
of Beaverton were in charge.
Wedding cake was cut by Mrs.
Janet Alayne Woods, sister of the
groom, and Miss Joan Barbison.
At the gift table were Miss husan
Schaefers and Miss Mary Anne
Scherer, cousins of the bride, and
assisting about the room were
Mrs. J. F. Brorby and Mrs. Dor
othy Parks Scott. Miss Clara
Wolf presented the guest book.
The bride's table was arranged
with bouquets of pink and white
carnations, and violet blossoms
sprinkled over the cloth. Servers
wore corsages of pink Elfe roses
and violets.
The young ' couple left on a
wedding trip, the bride wearing
a navy dress with matching short
jacket and accessories in navy
and white. Her corsage was of
miniature orchids. They are to
be at home in Roseburg at 1138
N. E. Freemont St. The bride
groom is employed by a plywood
company.
Guests from out of the slate in
cluded the bridegroom's great
aunt, Mrs. Paul Roshurg of
Mapleton, Iowa; Miss Lee Ann
Butts of Stockton, Calif., and the
Misses Ann and Carlin Howe of
Seattle.
