Tuesday, described the ''brutal
ilies and atrocities" of the Com
munists there as "unbelievable."
Norblad was an acting member
of the special House committee
which investigated communism as
an international conspiracy. The
committee held most of its hear
ings at Munich. Germany, and
witnesses included a number 5f
former officials of governments
now under Russian control. Refu
gees and Communist deserters
also testified.
Norblad said there appeared
"little chance of a general upris
ing by the people within these
countries because of the secret
police and brutality which has oc
curred," but testimony indicated
general dissatisfaction with Rus
sian domination.

the McCarthy-Army hearings. Sen.
