AT CONGREGATIONAL
At the Congregational Church
the congregation joins with the

tist Church on Thanksgiving Day.
Sunday, Nov 22, Dr. Wesley Good-
son Nicholson finishes his series
of four sermons on God and Man
with one entitled: "Protestantism
Prepares."
Locally Made Religious Movie
Has Dr. C. C. Roberts, Others
A world premier showing of
the movie "Where Do Ministers
Come From?" will be at the First
Christian Church, Eugene, 7:30
p.m., Sunday, Nov, 22.
This short 16 mm production
in color with sound was recently
filmed on the campus of North
west Christian College and at the
Springfield Christian Church.
Producers and directors are Mr.
and Mrs. E. L. Whisler who are
graduates of this college and who
now have two children enrolled
at N. C. C.
Playing the leading role in the
picture is Billy Weeda of Santa
Ana, Califirnia, a senior at
N. C. C. Playing opposite him in
much of the picture is Jo Anne
Flanders, N. C. C. sophomore
from Ellensburg, Wash. Donna-
claire Dawson, a Freshman from
Caldwell, Idaho, has an important
role.
Dr. C. C. Roberts, pastor of the
Eugene First Christian Church,
is "the minister" in the picture.
Other supporting roles are played
by Mr. and Mrs. Victor Herhiscr
and Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Eldridge.
Various members of the North-!
west Christian College Faculty
present items of interest that en
ter into the training of a Chris
tian minister. Dr. Ross J. Grif
feth, President of N. C.C., through
a chapel service, provides infor
mation relative to the signifi
cance of the Christian College.
The story of youthful romance
is drawn directly from the life of
the leading young man, concern
ing his commitment to the Chris
tian ministry and his influence
upon his parents.
The premier showing of the
picture at the Eugene First Chris
tian Church is to be carried out
much after the fashion of a Holly
wood premier. Leading players
will be introduced and interview
ed. A- bit of glamour will be
added to make this a gala event.
Northwest Christian College
was chosen for this filming of
the picture, which will be shown
in churches throughout the Unit
ed States and Canada, because
this College has the largest en
rollment of young people pre-:
paring for full time Christian
service of any college maintained
by the Disciples of Christ. While
the story is to challenge young
people to prepare themselves for
church vocations, it calls atten
tion to the total value of a Chris
tian ' education. Some street
scenes in Eugene and of the Uni
versity of Oregon campus help to
locate the place of production.
Nov. 29, one week after the
Eugene premier, the picture will
be shown in twenty other Chris
tian churches through the nation.
The advance requests for show
ing the- picture indicate that the
picture will be seen in several
thousand churches during its
lifetime. All parts are played
by amateurs.
