I WLLSBORO in Another damage
suit, this one for $56, RIO, was filed
here this week against Kdward A.
Freeman, Oswego, and two of his
truck drivers.
The suits are the outgrowth of
the collapse last fall of a bridge
across the Tualatin River. The
bridge, which carried a 20-inch gas
main, caved in when the hoist on a
log truck owned by Freeman struck
:and buckled a overhead bridge
girder.
I The gas main broke, rutting off
I the Portland Gas & Coke Company's
service to the Willamette Valley. It
was this firm that filed a suit in
Circuit Court here Honday.
! Earlier (he State Highway Com
mission filed suit for $21,885 as the
cost of construction of a temporary
bridg over the river.
I The Iwn truck drivers are Earl

Both the leftist-Commuriist bloc
and its opponents claimed victory
in Guatemala province Tuesday fol
lowing a three-day national con

The main contest in balloting
which ended last night centered in
the capital. Anti-Reds conceded
that t h e government-supported
