stepfather and mother, Mr. and
Mrs. Otto Rogge, for the summer
while her husband works as radio
operator on a lumber boat plying
between Coos Bay and San Fran
cisco. Paisley expects to have
completed work for his master's
degree in science by mid-winter
at the University of Chicago.
Mrs. Gail Kinyon, manager of
the local telephone exchange, re
turned Sunday from a two weeks
vacation in Montana. She visited
son Harold at Livingston, Burton
at Butte and daughter, Mrs. E. O.
Gilbert at Helena, friends at Reed
Point and her former home in
Bozeman. Yellowstone Park and
Cook Highway scenic points were
seen.

Royal Carpenter home. Jimmy and

Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 13,
Mrs. Earl Welch and Mrs. Royal
Carpenter attended meetings at
the Erb Memorial Center. Mrs.
Welch attended a meeting on 4-H
Club procedure, and Mrs. Royal
Carpenter attended a meeting on
World Citizenship pertaining to
the A.C.W.W. (Associated Wom
en of the World). Mrs. Carpenter
reports that the country to be
studied by the Extension Unit this
year is China. Both of these meet
ings were made possible by the
Lane County Home Extension.
SIMMONS HAS VISITORS
Recent visitors at the John
Simmons home were Mr. and Mrs.
Roy Wilder and children, Can
dice (Candy) and Dennis (Den
ny). The Wilders formerly lived
at Fall Creek and now reside at
Oregon City.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Lake and
daughter, Maxine, are visiting at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce
Hathaway. The Lakes are from
California. Lake is a brother of
Mrs. Hathaway.
Chester Gibson and Dan Sagar,
from Sacramento, Calif., have re
cently come to Fall Creek to make
their homes. They are employed
at the Anderson mill (Fall Creek
Lumber Co.) and will send for
their families as soon as they find
a location. At present they are
staying with Mrs. Ida Golden.

Mrs. Lawrence Lacock was sur
prised Friday afternoon when her
daughter and husband visited
from San Francisco. They are Mr.
and Mrs. Paul Fyffe. The Fyffe's
will return Tuesday to San Fran
cisco. Mrs. C. E. Willis entertained a
group of friends in her home re
cently, honoring Mrs. Ann Parson
of Eugene. Guests were: Mrs. Ruth
